Kevin Youkilis’ Hits for Kids Donates $100,000 to Christopher’s Haven
Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids Shower to Benefit
Christopher's Haven Children Was a Huge Success!!

Due to the overwhelming success of our latest fundraising event, Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids was able to write a check for $100,000 to Christopher's Haven, and to donate many useful housewarming gifts. Because of the generosity of those present, we surpassed our goal, and the money and gifts will help furnish three new apartments that will house families whose children are undergoing cancer treatments at Massachusetts General Hospital. We can all feel confident that we are making a difference in the lives of these children, and their families, when they need it most.
Said Kevin and Enza of the event:
"We are touched and pleased that so many generous people came together to support Christopher's Haven. This charity is close to our hearts, and perfectly illustrates the mission of our organization. We are grateful to all who contributed to the success of the event, and we are inspired and encouraged as we look forward to our next events."
To capture the essence of the event please view photos at Michael Blanchard's Gallery.
The event, hosted by Liz Brunner, was held at the Great Bay Restaurant in the Hotel Commonwealth. Guests enjoyed a fabulous brunch prepared by Michael Schlow and Christoper Myers, while being entertained by the vocals of the Boston Children's choir, and mingling with fellow supporters. Live and silent auctions were held, with gifts that delighted our guests. The auction items included:
- An opportunity to Meet and Greet the famous movie stars, Matthew McConaughey and Michael Douglas, on the set of "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" in Boston
- A display case of 23 baseballs, each ball signed by one member of the 2007 winning world series Red Sox team
- A children's birthday party at Fenway Park hosted by Wally the Green Monster
